GOT AN IDEA THAT DOESN’T FIT A BOX?

If you haven’t found what you’re looking for elsewhere on my website, there’s still a good chance I can help.

Over the years, I’ve been asked about some wonderfully unusual projects. Tell me what you have in mind and I’ll do my best to turn it into a drawing.

A selection of unusual original artwork by Jules Cartoonist

Sometimes, the odd idea is the best one.

ROOM FOR SOMETHING DIFFERENT

Your idea is the starting point.

A picture with a purpose

A CD cover, a T-shirt design, a political cartoon or a health-and-safety playing card, artwork can be useful as well as entertaining.

Tell me where the drawing will be used and what you want it to say.

A story worth drawing

A wedding proposal comic, a dog film-strip cartoon or a canal-boat cartoon can turn a personal story into something you can keep or share.

The details that matter to you help shape the brief.

A FEW IDEAS FROM THE ARCHIVE

The drawing board has seen a lot.

These are projects people have suggested over the years. Some were completed and some didn’t go ahead, but all were considered viable ideas.

Big scenes & unusual subjects

A coral-reef mural. A dinosaur cartoon. Rats pulling Santa’s sleigh. A character train.

Or even Tom Jones singing on a camel. A surprising brief is welcome here.

Personal, practical & playful

A speedway caricature clipboard, a wedding proposal comic, political cartoons and T-shirt artwork.

If your idea needs a different format, explain how you want to use it and we can discuss what’s possible.

LET’S SHAPE THE BRIEF

A little detail goes a long way.

Tell me what you imagine

Who or what should appear? Is there a joke, a message or a story? Reference photographs and a few notes can make your idea clearer.

You don’t need a finished design to get in touch.

Tell me how you’ll use it

A gift, a printed product, a display or a digital image will each have different requirements.

Let me know the intended size, format and deadline so I can discuss a suitable approach.

NOT SURE WHERE TO START?

Find the right kind of drawing.

A familiar face

For a personal caricature gift, explore the different drawing styles on my Caricatures page. For live drawing, see Weddings & Parties or Corporate Events.

Something for your company

For logos, cartoon characters, packaging, promotional products or printed stationery, take a look at Business Artwork.

If none of those quite describes your idea, send it anyway.

All work is discussed around your individual brief. Get in touch for a quote rather than trying to fit your project into a standard package.

LET’S PUT YOUR IDEA ON PAPER

What have you got in mind?

An unusual request is a good conversation starter. Send me the idea and let’s see where the drawing takes us.

What to send me

The subject, story or message you want to include.

Any useful photographs or reference material.

How you’ll use the artwork, its size and your preferred deadline.
